My client provides global freight forwarder services for Greenville & Spartanburg, SC area. They handle Domestic & International air and ocean, Trans-border, plus specialized freight services. My client has offices throughout the 50 states & overseas.

Your job is to have experience in operations & sales in freight forwarding as you’ll spend approximately 50%-50% of your time between ops & sales. 

Job Scope:
  • Provide good customer service and maintain customer relations through focusing on daily operations.
  • P&L responsibility.
  • Responsible for the organic growth and new business opportunities for your station.
  • Hire, coach, train, discipline and remove personnel in your station in coordination  with Human Resources.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews
  • Coordinate with Human Resources on all personnel issues.
  • Handle territory analysis for all sales people in their station.
  • Hold reps accountable for behavior and results.
  • Conduct weekly one-on-ones.
  • Hold weekly sales meetings.
  • Anything related to sales management, sales producing, and revenue management.
  • On-going recruitment for sales rep candidates
  • Make joint sales calls with the sales reps at least twice a month per sales rep.
  • Responsible to research and recommend to owners spacing needs, equipment leases and other equipment.
  • Oversee operations management within company guidelines. 
  • Oversee operation schedule and staff to handle customer needs.  Ensure enough labor to handle
Customer’s requirements and control costs.
  • Maintain productivity and quality award programs to recognize outstanding performance.
  • Establish and monitor cost control programs to control costs on a weekly basis.
  • Negotiate resolutions pertaining to conflicts in the workplace.
  • BA Degree  in Logistics,3PL or Transportation is preferred
  • Experience with Forwarders including warehousing (10 years)
  • Prior Transportation management experience
  • Prior experience in Ops and Sales preferred
Pay / Benefits:
  • Base Pay up to $125K  – (TBD by pay history & experience)
  • Bonus up to $10K per quarter
